Stone Pastilhas

A 35-second product film built around a single idea: every pool reveals precision, every tile reveals the pool. A catalog of 40+ ceramic models turned into a kinetic object study — from studio materiality to finished interior.

The Challenge

Stone Piscinas already owned the luxury ceramic-pool narrative at the brand level. The pastilhas line needed its own film — one that proved the 40+ model range is a feature, not a spec sheet, and that every individual tile carries the same obsession with finish as the final pool. The spot had to land material, range and context in under 40 seconds, without feeling like a product grid.

The Solution

A film that treats the ceramic tiles like a library. It opens on a declarative headline — every pool reveals precision, every tile reveals the pool — then sweeps across a shelf of over 40 ceramic panels, holds on curated color boards, zooms into a finished pool interior, and closes on three word beats (precision, detail, exclusivity) before resolving on the Stone Pastilhas lockup.

The Process

Directed, modelled and animated end-to-end in After Effects — using shape extrusion, 3D camera and parallax rigs to simulate material weight without a full 3D pipeline. The muted emerald + ceramic-neutral palette was locked first so every scene reads as one system; the edit is paced to a single audio track so each beat — catalog, board, interior, word — lands on-rhythm instead of on-count.

Precision, Revealed

The film opens on a saturated emerald field — no product, no logo, no camera move. Just the thesis of the whole piece stated in serif-italic: every pool reveals precision, every tile reveals the pool. A single sheen pulses across the surface to announce that the tile isn't the subject yet — the promise is. When we do cut to product, we're already on-message.

A Library of 40+ Models

The camera pushes past a shelf of ceramic panels lined up like library spines — greens, stones, deep blues, warm neutrals. Each panel is individually textured; the sweep lets the viewer feel the range before the headline confirms it: "more than 40 ceramic options." Scale, variety and material weight, all earned in one continuous move.

Color as System

The catalog resets into a clean editorial lineup: five tile boards standing side by side — deep navy, sage, emerald, cream, bone — each one a self-contained palette study. The line "where precision becomes beauty" runs above in serif italic, framing the shift from feature (range) to value (aesthetics). It's the beat that argues color isn't decoration; it's design language.

Inside the Finished Pool

The abstraction pays off: we're inside a finished pool, blue ceramic wrapping every surface, caustic light carving ripples across the tile grid. This is the promised payoff — the studio swatches are now the room. The shot holds just long enough to let the scale register before handing off to the detail beat.

The Project Is in the Detail

A small grid of four sample swatches floats against the emerald field with a quiet mono caption: "the project is born in the detail." After the architectural scale of the pool interior, this deliberate zoom-back resets the viewer's focus onto the millimeter — reinforcing that what makes the big picture work is exactly the small decision.

Precision (the word)

The film drops into live-action — a real pool, real water, real landscaping — and lands the word PRECISION in big serif across the surface. It's the first beat of a fast triad (precision · detail · exclusivity) that fires on rhythm over three almost-identical plates, letting each word lock onto the same environment. Less copy, more cadence.

Stone Pastilhas — Lockup

The close resolves into the brand seal: the tile-swatch mark beside the STONE wordmark, with the "Piscinas Pastilhadas" descriptor locking below. The swatch logo rhymes with every frame the viewer has just seen — library, boards, detail grid — so the lockup reads as a summary, not a sign-off.
