The Challenge

Reserva Mini — the kids' line of Brazilian fashion brand Reserva — needed an institutional film to open decks for partners and investors. In ninety seconds it had to tell the whole story: from the single order that sparked the brand, through a decade of campaigns, to the business numbers today — without feeling like a corporate slideshow.

The Solution

One 90-second film that keeps changing gears: quiet type-driven statements, a data-rich national footprint, warm live-action of real kids, and punchy kinetic payoffs. The editorial rhythm walks the viewer from "how big we are" to "why it matters" to "where we're going next."

The Process

Directed and animated end to end in After Effects. A single system — the Reserva serif, the red / black / off-white palette, the bird mark — ties the graphic sequences (map, ecosystem, charts) to the filmed footage, so hard data and real emotion speak the same visual language.

Eight movements — from a single order to a promise. The origin, the growth and the numbers of a brand built to grow up with its kids.

It Started With an Order

0:00 → 0:05 · 4.9s

Pure typography on black tells the origin story in three beats: "it was meant to be a few kids' polo shirts… and the order turned into XXX pieces." Words build and swap in place, the key figures punched in red. No footage, no logo yet — just the spark that started everything.

"Opening on the origin instead of the logo earns attention. You lean in to hear how a small order became a whole brand."

A Brand Is Born

0:05 → 0:19 · 14.5s

"Nasceu a Reserva" — the parent wordmark lands with its bird mark on white, then the line "it expanded across the country" cues a map of Brazil where store markers bloom along the coast. The birth of the brand and its national spread, told as one continuous move from logotype to cartography.

"Scale is abstract until you can see it on a map. The markers spreading across the country do the arguing before a single number even lands."

Enter Mini

0:19 → 0:36 · 16.3s

The map resolves into hard counts — dozens of Mini stores and franchises stacking up — before an editorial collage introduces the "mini" script and its young cast against saturated red and blue blocks. It lands on the first Reserva Mini campaign, "Coleção Verão 2014," over warm picnic footage. The line extension gets its own identity.

"This is where Mini stops being a footnote and becomes a brand. The collage gives it a voice of its own, distinct from the parent."

Campaigns With Character

0:36 → 0:49 · 13.4s

A rapid highlight reel of Mini's campaigns, each with its own personality: the manifesto "movement is freedom, style is essence, childhood is expression," the "Disk Noel" Christmas film, a baby-collection launch, and licensed collabs on the court. Different seasons, one consistent voice — cut tight to keep the energy up.

"Years of work in a few seconds. The trick is rhythm: each campaign gets just enough time to register before the next one lands."

Historic Collabs

0:49 → 0:57 · 8.4s

A bright, gallery-style layout on white — "bringing historic, unforgettable collaborations to life." Editorial cards fan out with subtle depth: kids on a court, a licensed cartoon character, collab collections styled like a lookbook. The white canvas reframes the collabs as cultural, collectible moments.

"Switching to white resets the eye. After all the red, the collabs read like a curated exhibition — playful, but premium."

Connecting Generations

0:57 → 1:12 · 14.3s

The energetic heart of the film — a live-action montage under the recurring line "connecting generations through clothes that play." Kids leap arms-up, silhouettes cross a bridge, a boy takes in Rio's skyline. The cutting keeps building to the thesis: "#Protagonismo — much more than getting dressed," positioning the clothes as a vehicle for kids' self-esteem.

"The fast cuts aren't decoration — they're the argument. Clothes that play, kids who lead. You feel the momentum before you read it."

Results & Ecosystem

1:12 → 1:20 · 7.9s

The payoff turns to data. A revenue headline anchors the growth story, followed by the line "a whole generation later," then the "Ecossistema Reserva" diagram — a C-shaped donut cradling the mini bird — resolves to show the line nested inside its parent brand's architecture.

"The numbers earn their place here. By now the viewer is invested emotionally, so the chart reads like proof, not a pitch."

We Grow Up Together

1:20 → 1:30 · 10.4s

Kinetic type snaps the thesis shut — "the mini is GIANT" — then softens into a promise: "the next chapter will be even more extraordinary." The Reserva mark builds, resolves into Reserva Mini, and signs off with "we grow up together." Cross-dissolves, not hard cuts, carry the ending — the film exhales.

"Ending on 'we grow up together' reframes everything before it. The last frame is a handshake, not a logo."
